Anvilbrother 0 #2 April 2, 2014 No shit climate change is real, the climate has been changing for 4.54 Billion years!! The suns solar cycle, radiation(heating) changes every 11 years. Ever heard of El nino, La nina? That shit changes too. Add all that together including about 1000 other natural things that play into it, and shits gonna get hot at times, cold at times, dry at times, wet at time. Quit being so fucking closed minded and stuck to the democrats message that this is all the BIG scary oil companies fault, and therefore republicans fault also!! Im not saying lets bp oil spill every day, and burn tires for heating elementary schools, but open your mind to the possibility and stop being a spokesperson. The earth is a huge old bitch, and its hubristic to think even with all the knowledge, technology we have we still are working on a short timeline to plot changes, and we are going off shadily funded partisan research who are pick and choose the answer you like scientists as to the CAUSE. We all know its happening, whos to say its not a natural phase? We are hearing from some top research it IS man made, then some that it ISNT man made. If its hard science it should be easily shown, and repeatably shown evidence. Therefore I will show my own theory which has factual statistics, and you prove to me why mine isn't as good as theirs. I will use the Flying Spaghetti Monster analogy. I believe the cause of global warming is due to the drop in sea faring pirates who keep global warming down. "You may be interested to know that global warming, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other natural disasters are a direct effect of the shrinking numbers of Pirates since the 1800s. For your interest, I have included a graph of the approximate number of pirates versus the average global temperature over the last 200 years. As you can see, there is a statistically significant inverse relationship between pirates and global temperature." Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. I still, firmly believe all this 'global warming' stuff and to keep things going , it's now 'climate change' is nothing more than a huge scam. It all started with 'save the rain forests' to get people interested. One man, now living in China started it all with 'save the rain forests' and got people like Al Gore and big corporation 'General Electric' to make billions. The rain forests in South America are being clear cut at alarming rates. There are very real impacts to mass deforestation, even if you think global warming is a hoax. - Dan G
lawrocket 3 #6 April 2, 2014 This is now getting comical. Climate alarmists can be called shills for big oil. This is going to be great fun! Joe Romm - spewing the position of Exxon. My wife is hotter than your wife.

I am very aware of the de-forestation of the rain forests. What I was saying was, the 'save the rain forests' was used to get people involved in a 'cause' and to get people's attention. The 'plan' moved on from that to 'global warming'. All this was presented by a story on 60-Minutes. Chuck

And take a look at how much clearcutting is consistent with Brazil's policy for biodiesel and ethanol fuels. Brazil has been touted as a worldwide example of cutting reliance on fossil fuels. Check out the loss of forested land just due to soy in Brazil, not to mention corn. Or what about clear cutting elsewhere and planting palms for palm oil? Cost-benefit. Benefit-cost. Cost-benefit...
