It has been a problem for the citizen soldiers of this country since we were founded. Once the war is over, those who fought it then as now are no longer needed and are just so much surplus war materiel. Riots after the 20th Centuries War I, I think led to a bit better deal for those who survived to the end of War II in the last century with education and housing benefits. Since then not so much although there were a few perks left in my time. Now... we are a point where about 22 kids... who heard all those "Thank you for your service" homilies" over the last 13 years are no longer needed or wanted and end up killing themselves ever day... 22.. That is some sad sad shit.

BUT.. never fear the billionaires will still get their tax breaks and corporate welfare.. and to hell with the "least of our society" or those who stepped up when they were called.
