Its good thing Bush got rid of Saddam ...

... so the people of Iraq could legalize child molestation.

Quote

The legislation goes to the heart of the divisions in Iraq since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in 2003, as Shi'ite Islamists have come to lead the government and look to impose their religious values on society at large.

It describes girls as reaching puberty at nine, making them fit for marriage, makes the father sole guardian of his children at two and condones a husband's right to insist on sexual intercourse with his wife whenever he wishes.

Or am I just some dumb ignorant white racist who doesn't know how to appreciate the fine cultural traditions that Muslims have?

Those Muslims that impose those kind of rules or laws are the scum of the earth. It goes beyond human decency. But, they're not the only religion out there that does stuff like this. >:(

Its been proven there are child molesters in most (all?) religions. I just can't recall a case in recent times where some Christians were pushing through a law to give them rights to fuck 9 year olds.

On the other hand, it might be said Muslims don't have the political power to cover up widespread fucking of 9 year olds by denying it at the highest level, shuffling around offenders, and bribing people to make the problem go away.

Infidel!

You dare to suggest that there is anything at all wrong with having passionate sex with 9 year old girls? Muhammad himself married a 9 year old girl!

Criticize the faithful much further, and you will be subject to a Fatwa! Any more questioning of the Religion of Peace (tm) and you will die a hideous and violent death. You have been warned...

In a film about the war challenges in Afghanistan:

"If they don't fuck the asses of these boys. What should they fuck? The pussies of their own grandmothers? Their asses were used before, and now they want to get what they are owed."

"Those little boys stay willingly in the patrol bases and offer their asses in the night."

I've always been a student of history but I didn't know this.

In 1272, the Arabic Muslims invented the condom, using a goat's lower intestine.

In 1873, the British refined the idea by taking the intestine out of the goat first.

Hmmm - took the British that long, 601 years, to figure out an upgrade, huh?

***... so the people of Iraq could legalize child molestation.

So you're saying that this practice didn't exist in Iraq before Bush ousted Saddam?

Without looking much more into it I'm guessing not. The reasoning is that its the Shii'te's who are behind this and Saddam was busy gassing those folks, so I doubt they had much leeway to try and enforce child rape laws. Besides I think if recall correctly Saddam was fairly secular compared to most Middle-east Muslims.

So Bush should have foreseen this coming and not invaded in order to save the future children from rape?

I'm just wondering at what point you'll actually get around to blaming the people actually responsible for this decision, instead of blaming what Bush did 10 years ago...

The invasion of Iraq was in 1994?

Bush and Cheney and the rest of the PNAC boys in the Administration only saw one thing... and that was oil... I said that in 2003 and a bunch of those who participated are now coming clean and telling the truth finally. They started planning the Excellent Adventure in Iraq back in the 1990's[:/]

If you're gonna spend a trillion dollars, and sacrifice the lives of thousands of Americans, you better try and figure out what the long term implications of invading a middle eastern country are goings to be. Greeted as liberators and the Iraqi oil will pay all of our war cost is what we were promised by Bush/Cheney, unbelievable.

Who controls the intelligence agencies that provide information to Congress?

Oh yes, the ADMINISTRATION.

Nice try at weaseling, but the Bush administration is 100% responsible.

I did not buy the arguments for invading Iraq at the time, and questioned the sanity of anyone who did.

Just because they were gullible does not mean they are not culpable.

BSBD,

Gullible enough to authorize the ADMINISTRATION to take action as it saw necessary. One option, the invasion, however, wasn't ordered by Congress, it was ordered by the CinC.

I hope Congress learned its lesson and in 2014 is no longer going to accept CIA briefings and administration interpretations of the intelligence at face value.

Reading dear Turtle is FUN da MENTAL...

The U.S. senator from Massachusetts said the congressional resolution gave Bush "the right authority for the president to have."

But he told reporters on a campaign swing through Arizona, "I would have done this very differently from the way President Bush has." He challenged Bush to answer four questions.

"My question to President Bush is why did he rush to war without a plan to win the peace?" Kerry asked. "Why did he rush to war on faulty intelligence and not do the hard work necessary to give America the truth?

"Why did he mislead America about how he would go to war? Why has he not brought other countries to the table in order to support American troops in the way that we deserve it and relieve a pressure from the American people?

"There are four, not hypothetical questions like the president's, but real questions that matter to Americans," Kerry said. "And I hope you'll get the answers to those questions because the American people deserve them."

Bush's campaign has hammered Kerry over his vote to authorize military action and his vote a year later against $87 billion in funding for the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Kerry has said he voted against that measure because it would have financed the war with borrowed money. He voted for a defeated alternative that would have rolled back some of Bush's tax cuts to pay for the conflict.

W and his PNAC buddies had been seeking any excuse to go to Iraq..

I wonder what our deficit would be today had we not gone on an unpaid for spending spree with Dick and Georges Excellent Adventure.

I am quite sure the Cheney and Bush family have done fabulously well financially while the rest of Americans did not... especially the thousands that died in an unneccessary war for oil profits.

That's easy . . . At this point, its about 5 Trillion more than whatever it would have been, and climbing.
