champu 1 #2 February 9, 2014 Way too sensitive. I think their guest, Dergarabedian's, analysis was on the right track. The reason the villain is the head of a corporation is because heads of corporation wield power, and villains that don't wield power make for crappy plots. It's difficult to write a character that is evil, incompetent, and interesting all at once.

quade 4 #5 February 15, 2014 kallend www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rprB_VNm3L8 Unbelievable! I saw the movie this afternoon. Let me say this, anyone who watched the movie and came away with it being anti-capitalist completely missed the point of the film. It is NOT anti-capitalist. It's anti-conformist. THAT is the point of the film. Okay, and there's a little bit about god mythology too. I'm VERY surprised FoxNews didn't catch the pro-intelligent design subtext. Then again, I think they might be part of the 30% of people who simply never understand the concept of subtext, which may be why they thought it was anti-business. Either that or . . . they just never f'ing watched the film in the first place.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
kelpdiver 2 #6 February 15, 2014 quade Either that or . . . they just never f'ing watched the film in the first place. that is the usual story. Someone misreads or overreads a simple name or element, tells Fox Friends, and suddenly 10% of the country believes it, but one or none of them actually read/watched it. I recall the allegation that the last Batman movie was an attack on Romney because the villian was named Bane.
Bolas 5 #7 February 15, 2014 That may just be the funniest thing I've ever watched on the Internet. Maybe Fox news is secretly The Onion?Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. Andy9o8 3 #8 February 15, 2014 BolasThat may just be the funniest thing I've ever watched on the Internet. Maybe Fox news is secretly The Onion? You've got it nailed; there's really not much secret about it. Of course they don't really believe any of that shit. They have their fools and Ditto-heads that they need to keep fed with fresh meat, so they think this shit up. They have a good laugh among themselves at what a crock of shit it is, then they serve it up to their regulars, who eagerly lap it up like the morons they are. Then they laugh at the suckers taking it seriously (their regular viewers)... all the way to the bank.
Skyrad 0 #9 February 15, 2014 And this is where how many Americans get their world view from? Well that explains a lot. (Much like when the mindless Daily Mail reading Brits believe the crap they read there too). When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy.
