1) Those doors have tempered glass in them.
2) One cannot put a bullet through a tempered piece of glass without it shattering.
3) It clearly did NOT shatter.
4) It was his body hitting the glass that made it shake.

I can't tell. Most rifle rounds would zip right through a guy. I saw one officer had what was likely 5.56mm. That'll go through. I was expecting a head shot from a 7.62mm sharpshooter. The photographer had a great shot. But it appeared to be a body shot from the left. It might have been close enough that the overpressure from the weapon caused the reaction in the glass.

I couldn't see his gun hand. If they did take a body shot, I'm going to guess he didn't have the gun to her head with his finger on the trigger. Otherwise, it would have been risky. It looked like a clean takedown.

Good for them.

Not fer nuttin, but Shields are supposed to be held between you & the threat. She wasn't THAT obese. He even held perfectly still for them. I'm guessing the guy isn't the brightest bulb in the pack.

I hope they bill his estate (doubt he even has one) for the 5 days of hospital expenses, and fixing the door glass, and also a couple of bucks for the cost of the bullet.
