kallend 2,175 #1 January 11, 2014 In this chart, changes in womens' life expectancy is plotted for every county in the US. Red means its getting worse, blue means it's increasing, green is basically stagnant. cdn.theatlantic.com/newsroom/img/posts/2014/01/FemaleMortalityRatesMapLG/99fd20794.jpg Fascinating to compare with another map of your choice.... CanuckInUSA 0 #6 January 11, 2014 Could the rise in obesity have anything to do with this trend? Obesity has been described as approximately 10% genetics, 10% physical activity and about 80% diet. We choose what we eat. If we choose poorly, if we eat all the wrong foods, we gain weight and our health suffers. Some people may need help being educated in how to eat healthier. But no amount of Big Government programs will make people eat healthy. If someone wants to eat better and live a healthier life, they must be proactive. It's not easy, but the choice is a personal one and people must take personal responsibility to ensure they eat the right food if they want to live longer healthier lives. Oh and what's with this slant on "Women's Life Expectancy"? I guess when Progressives are bored playing the Race Card they jump on the Gender Card bandwagon. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
