Has been pretty cold across most of the US, hasn't it? Come to think of it, we've had more cold records than hot records in the US this year. (Back a couple of years ago, the number of record hots was pointed out as damn near conclusive of AGW. These cold records? Well, that's proof, too.

I do note a couple of things. First, this is the lowest ever satellite measurement. This means there's room for some significant error. The second thing is that this record only goes back 30 years or so. It may have hit -100C in 1963 and we wouldn't know it.

Not the internet but the green energy industry. Starting with the Earth in Balance and his role in Senate and as Veep, the guy has laughed all the way to the bank.

Who else can get comped private jets to take him from place to place so he can lecture about a carbon footprint for $150k per speech?

The guy managed to turn global warming into a political and legal fact and rake in the cash. He's managed to uniquely blend the characteristics of religious leadership with snake oil sales solutions. L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics is nothing compared to An Inconvenient Truth!

Exactly! And if a Republican had done it, many would have claimed him to be one of the greatest Americans ever.

Not illegal, just made up phony BS.Ron, I bet you remember Al Gore getting special treatment in Vietnam. His father insisted he have his own bodyguards. He was there only for his political ambitions. His father could have easily kept him out like so many fathers with connections in those days.

Having the bodyguards in Vietnam, and talking about his Vietnam experience did it for me, and I agree totally with your choice of words. Of course Bush chased Migs over the Tex/Ok border in the ANG. Wonder if he would have gone if they got called up. As President (and now), Bush certainly had more respect for the military than Gore, Clinton, or the neighborhood organizer.
