Like I said before, counting police and honest self defense is dishonest.

As a side note, I wish more people would be concerned about violence than objects. If you removed the objects you still have the issue, just with a different tool.

Most statistics and data sources related to firearms violence are a complete mess.

As long as the predominant argument remains "more gun control" vs. "less gun control" like it's a volume knob or something there's not much motivation to get the information straight.
