Which party do I "go along with"? I've voted for Rs as much as Ds. But but but... you can't do that! How else will people put you into neat little black and white boxes that they can judge you on? The real question is, who pays for the panda when it gets sick??? The govt?!? Fuckin' freeloading panda. Right! Panda needs to show a bit of personal responsibility instead of relying on taxpayer handouts. Yes, and if you had your way, the panda should be able to vote. WELL, since you bring up the issue of voting, Obama, the architect of Obamacare, won handily, and the popular vote for the House showed some 2 million more DEM votes than GOP. The ONLY reason the GOP has more house seats is that they gerrymandered the congressional district boundaries.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. billvon 3,108 #59 October 1, 2013 >The worst part of the gov't shutdow ============= BY TOM AGUERO | OCTOBER 1, 2013 · 8:08 AM Government shutdown means no new beer or breweries At midnight Monday night, September 30th, 2013 the United States federal government began to shutdown due to a failure by Congress to pass a budget. Now you ask what does that have to do with beer? A small part of the federal government but a key part of the beer industry (craft or otherwise) is the Tax and Trade Bureau (shortened to TTB). The quick background is that all breweries have to get approval from the TTB before opening their brewery or before releasing a new beer. The TTB approves all labels and any interesting formulations, like adding shiitake mushrooms to your brew. For more background go read my earlier post about the TTB. The Treasury department (which the TTB is part of) has listed what departments it’s going to be shutting down or reducing to save money so other, more crucial, parts can keep running. The TTB isn’t being totally shutdown as it collect taxes, god forbid they stop collecting taxes even if we get nothing in return for them. However, all label, formula, and new brewery approval is ceasing. Here’s exactly what the Treasury said: TTB would halt its regulatory functions, non-criminal investigative activities and audit functions. However, TTB would ensure that all tax remittances are processed because these functions are deemed necessary for safety and protection of property. . . . . You can see what this means to the industry as a whole. No new beers from any brewery – so small breweries won’t be able to keep innovating – and no new brewery approvals means the insane growth of new breweries hasn’t had the brakes put on it as much as the growth has slammed into a concrete wall and came to a complete and abrupt stop. =========================

As long as they continue to fight against each other instead of working together, we're fucked. Ad nauseum. I'm totally amazed that this can even happen at all! One side doesn't get their way in an election and so has the keys to the purse and withholds the money for everything until they get their way on the issue they lost out on in the election... And they call this democracy??? (Having learnt a bit about Obama care t sounds like crap but this is going to wipe 0.9% off the GDP this month at least! People who have health insurance through their employer don't need to buy insurance on their own. All this "secret deal" did was clarify that legislative employees were in the same class as everyone else in the country. The fact that your source is the National Review is telling. LyraM45 0 #65 October 2, 2013 jgoose71 Me personally, I say just go ahead and pass the bill and let Obama care stand. I would even force the employer and individual mandates right now. Why you ask? The sooner we let this piece of shit legislation crash the economy, the sooner we can show people how wrong it is and let the democrats reap the benefits of squandering the remaining wealth of this country. Then the sooner we can get on with rebuilding. As it sits now, we are in a stale mate that will probably go on for quite some time. Face it, for some people the only way they will ever know the bucket is full of shit is to pour it on them... And if it ends up not being the biggest pile of shit like some people say it is?Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... Obamacare is not about health care It is about money, power, control and less freedom Which is consistent with most of the laws and regs being put into place today are all about How about this, did you see the report that says the Obamacare law doc has grown from over 2000 pages to nearly 21,000 pages with the regs the bureaucrats are adding to it?
