BIGUN 1,481 #1 September 18, 2013 I don't understand. What is the expected outcome? In cities around the globe on Sept.20th, artists, activists and citizens will temporarily transform metered parking spaces into public parks and other social spaces, as part of an annual event called “PARK(ing) Day.” PARK(ing) Day challenges people to rethink the way streets are used and reinforces the need for broad-based changes to urban infrastructure. “In urban centers around the world, inexpensive curbside parking results in increased traffic, wasted fuel and more pollution,” says Rebar’s Matthew Passmore. “The strategies that generated these conditions are not sustainable, nor do they promote a healthy, vibrant urban human habitat. PARK(ing) Day is about re-imagining the possibilities of the metropolitan landscape.” http://parkingday.org/ So, while I'm thinking about it. My best thought is... I'll make a bar.. serve drinks. Then, if an officer tries to arrest me for being drunk in public, I can say, "No Sir, I'm drunk while Park(ing)." Seriously, this to me is just silly. What's even more silly to me is that it's taking on a life.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. Arvoitus 1 #2 September 19, 2013 Drive your car into a river. Buy a bicycle, drive it around in a town for a month. Then imagine if there weren't any cars around. Then you'll understand.Your rights end where my feelings begin.
Gravitymaster 0 #3 September 19, 2013 It means I would have to ride a bicycle 40,000 plus miles every year with a trailer to haul all my business related items.. The other option would be to go on government assistance and have you pay me to sit home.

Anyone else should either: walk or bicycle; or take public transportation. This is how to make elitism sound like egalitarianism. My wife is hotter than your wife.
