Many sociopaths are born that way. Still others are made. And unfortunately, we have plenty of subcultures where sociopaths are made - bred to be assistants in the family business.

I used to work with a guy who grew up in East LA.
One day he and his best friend were walking down the street, and a car load of guys pulled along side and asked for directions. His friend was going in that direction, so he offered to ride along and show them where it was in exchange for a ride. That was the last time his friend was seen alive.

It turned out they strangers needed a random victim for a gang initiation. My co-worker testified at the trial, (since he was an eyewitness), and was relocated to another part of the state for his protection.

It's interesting to note that there are blurred lines when it comes to defining sociopathy. Many experts feel they are one in the same, and really just different degrees or forms of psychopathy.

What's REALLY interesting, is according to the link you posted, many if not the majority of BASE jumpers fall into the sociopath category.
