dmcoco84 5 #1 August 14, 2013 Oracle CEO Larry Ellison told CBS News’ Charlie Rose that he has no problem with the NSA’s massive surveillance programs. In fact, he said, the surveillance is “great” and “essential.” Douche Bag

dmcoco84 5 #3 August 14, 2013 Big difference between a private company having data that I agree to do business with (subject to legally obtained warrants), like which he ridiculously describes (VISA), and what the Federal Government it ACTUALLY doing. And it is quite clear that no one on this board has been listening to Drake or Binney; NSA Whistle blowers. That entire interview is a slap in the face... And the administration has already done that which he states would be his "red line."
ibx 2 #4 August 14, 2013 I totally agree with you on this. It's just that Larrys software is probably a big part in making this possible. Large databases and workflow engines...
DougH 270 #5 August 14, 2013 I don't have time to watch or read the link, but one of the ironies is the the US surveillance programs, also hurt the position of companies that are heavily invested in cloud computing. People have already expressed some concern that there is a disproportionate amount of the industry in the US. These NSA programs only add to the concern."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

ryoder 1,590 #7 August 14, 2013 The US govt is a huge customer of both Oracle's hw & sw products, and their services. Larry is just sucking up to his largest single customer."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.
