Whats in a name?

Recommended Posts

Besides the opportunity for an idiot to show his idiocy . . .

Nooooo, I'm not talking about the parents, who do some weird naming games, but no, I'm talking about a judge in TN that changed a name because of his beliefs.

The judge should be handed his walking papers.>:(

What next?

Should we change the name of every Latino named "Jesus"?:S

Or . . . maybe . . . just maybe . . . Obama told her to because that is his true name.:D

I agree. I really have to wonder about someone who names their kid Messiah. Obviously they planned on homeschooling him because with a name like that in public schools, you gotta be tough.

If that judge can't differentiate the law from his personal religious beliefs, then he needs to be removed.

IIRC, Grace Slick's kid was named 'god;' it was not capitalized so as not to be pretentious or whatever.

Awesome - the court upheld rational thought.

Not necessarily the parents . . . but you get the jist.

Side Note - He does look an awful lot like Obama when he doesn't get his way though.

I went to college with a woman named Horr. She was in nearly every play, and she said it loud and proud. No-one messed with her :)
She also went to the annual Shakespearian Festival dressed as Lady Godiva, with panty hose pulled up to her chest, a wig with the hair bobby-pinned appropriately, and two fig leaves sewn over her nether regions. Sheer genius

AGREED, as well as judges that can't differentiate between their personal (private) political convictions and the law. Unfortunately, that's exactly what we get in our system

Also, the parents need to get psych exams. Using their kid to try to push a point is cruel and irresponsible

Hi turtle,

Quote

Anyone who talks like this:

"I really don't have nothing to say."

is not so rational in my book.

My college roommate became Dr. Hack. Fortunately, not a surgeon at least :D
