I'll be here waiting for quite a while...probably until 2016. Meh, replace "Obama" with "any President" and you would also be right. Obama, or his successor, or his predecessor, could have cured cancer and the opposition would still spin that into a bad thing.Never try to eat more than you can lift
regulator 0 #6 August 8, 2013 At least nixon manned the fuck up and admitted he was wrong. He didn't hold a press conference with the liberal media and blatantly mention 'phony' scandals...a multitude of them. sorry the curse words are not aimed at you. but obama is the worst president in the history of the united states. I'll take Quade's vanilla lover billy clinton anyday over what we have now.

Bignugget 0 #9 August 8, 2013 rushmcCool I just want the same How about all of you? http://dailycaller.com/2013/08/07/members-staff-will-keep-healthcare-subsidies-under-obamacare/ http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/08/07/health-care-fix/2629717/ "The proposal does clarify that the government will continue to pay its standard share of premiums, resolving one of the biggest unknowns about the impact of Grassley's amendment. Many had been warning of a Capitol Hill "brain drain" if staffers were suddenly forced to foot the entire cost of their health insurance premiums." So first off the amendment the Republican put forward would do nothing but make them switch from the network 8 million federal employees have access to, to the market where unemployed/uninsured people will be shopping...the government would still be paying the 70-75% they already pay...... "Under the amendment, lawmakers themselves and staffers in their personal, or "official," offices would have to exit the federal employee plan and get coverage through new health insurance marketplaces coming under the law. Also known as "exchanges," the marketplaces will offer subsidized private insurance to people who don't have access to a plan on the job.' Basically it makes 0 sense, and thats why it was overridden. There is no need for Congress to exit the insurance system they already have access to. http://www.factcheck.org/2009/08/health-care-for-members-of-congress/ So you want the option to be exempted from carrying insurance under Obamas plan if you already have private insurance from your employer? You got it.
Stumpy 284 #10 August 8, 2013 OK - Bush started a pretty big war on the basis of a lie. Thats a pretty unforgivable one. Especially considering he dragged in a number of other countries with the same lie. Everything else you say is arguable and depends a lot on your partisan leanings. The only thing from my point of view that has a similar potential impact is the stuff going on at the moment from an NSA or (insert other countries intelligence agency here) point of view with regards to privacy. However, quite rightly in both of my "home" countries that is seen more as a domestic issue than involving the US. Obama is complicit but it is the domestic politicians driving their own agendas.Never try to eat more than you can lift

Stumpy 284 #21 August 8, 2013 rushmcYou are saying that Bush and all those I posted the quotes for were lying? Duh. They are politicians QuoteAnd remember, they were saying those same things years before Bush was even running for office and was unknown nationally at the time Did they start a war over it? QuoteOr do just hate Presidents who are not Democrats No - I don't think much of any presidents/politicians generally. (Hate is too strong a word) However, Bush from an external perspective was one of the worst. I appreciate that from a domestic viewpoint you may have a different opinion. In two of the countries I have lived in, I would generally be seen to sit a bit to the right of centre. In the US, with exactly the same viewpoints I come down on the left. SOme of the republican principles I agree with, however the far right and especially the walking freakshow that is the tea party turn me off (yet keep me strangely entertained at election time!). Anyway, I digress.Never try to eat more than you can lift
