His actions as a vigilante are what led to his needing to defend himself. I'm more than sympathetic to people who find themselves in desperate situations. I'm a little less sympathetic to people who put themselves into them. Kind of like the guy who kills his parents, and then throws himself on the mercy of the court because he's an orphan.

Facts seem to escape those who want to promote an agenda. He was on neighborhood watch. You do understand what that means right? Also he has every right to watch his neighborhood even if he wasn't on neighborhood watch. Nothing vigilante about that, that's being a responsible neighbor and human being. I'm going to assume your the type that prefer to close your shades and not get involved right? I gaurentee you if I see someone who doesn't belong in my neighborhood at night cutting through houses I'm going to go ask them what they are doing even more so if we have had a rash of thefts. It is absolutely not the polices job to protect ANYONE or ANYTHING their job is to respond after the fact and take reports then maybe look for the offender if the crime is big enough.
