RonD1120 62 #28 August 3, 2013 kallend******Fox News makes tons of money, and has propelled a goodly number of Republicans into office. They do so by capitalizing on a discovery H.L Mencken made over 50 years ago: "No one in this world has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby." No argument there. I am pleased to say that I am one of the plain people, an ordinary guy married to an ordinary gal. As such, we don't want to see our beloved America morph into something that our founders warned us about. It is a plain and simple truth, liberal socialism is an anathema to the spirit both of the individual and the nation. We can get our country and our families back with God's help. He is standing at the door waiting for the invitation to come in and heal our hearts and set our nation back on the right path. The obamanation of America does not have to be permanent. Funny, but when I read Matthew 14:13-21 I don't recall Jesus saying "hey guys, we'll keep the loaves and fishes for ourselves- if we feed the masses they'll just become dependent" Why would you read the Scriptures? You don't believe in the authorship. Furthermore, you don't understand the proper exegesis of the passages.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.
Southern_Man 0 #29 August 3, 2013 Gravitymaster I don't recall the exact wording but Jesus said something like "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". Why do you left wingers insist on giving a man a fish? Jesus said that???"What if there were no hypothetical questions?" Please enlighten us with your non-Biblical source of the sayings of Jesus."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. winsor 236 #31 August 3, 2013 Gravitymaster... Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." I thought it went "...yea, verily, if you teach a man to fish he shall henceforth drink beer and tell lies..."
Gravitymaster 0 #32 August 3, 2013 Probably a Chinese Proverb. I think Jesus might have learned it from Confucious. But since it's not in the Bible, I guess we will never know. Because everything Jesus ever said is in the Bible.
