Here's some pics of Persepolis, capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550–330 BC until it was invaded, burned and looted. Modern day invasions are done by Wall Street bankers wielding fancy pens.
Look, when people stop working, cities go to hell. The reason Persepolis was once the city it was, was because people worked around the clock cutting stone. Workers were paid, which added to the economy. Rome fell due to lazy people who couldn't defend against invaders from the north.
It's all about keeping people busy doing something constructive. Thats what the gov't did during the depression with the WPA. The problem with OBAMA's stimulus program is that too much money went into the hands of the few and not enough workers were born from programs.
