I actually like Chicago (other than everything about their politics, the blackhawks and their legion of "fans"), but I couldn't NOT fire that shot . I'd never ever live there but it's on the list of cities I will visit without being sad about it That said, I've never understood architecture and universities as things that help a person decide where to live. Unless that person is an architect, or a student?cavete terrae.

Kennedy 0 #12 July 22, 2013 Don't forget the museum, aquarium, planetarium, the house of Blues (better than nola and better than the original in Mass), or all the fun on the lake. Chicago has lots of great things about it. Politics and CPD are not among them. Midway and 8mile also fail to make the list. Games at Wrigley, watching the Bulls and Blackhawks lose, so much fun in Chitown.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

Andy9o8 2 #14 July 22, 2013 I find it laughable that every other day in here some drooler with ODS gets in a bash at Chicago or Illinois, when it's utterly obvious that the real reason why that's done, over and over, is because that's Obama's adopted home turf. Hey, guys, we get it - you hate Obama. Time to grow up, get a life and talk about issues. The rest of us are moving along.

airdvr 210 #18 July 22, 2013 As much as I enjoyed the time I spent visiting Chicago I was always amazed that my step-daughter and her husband chose to live in a high-rise 2 BR that went for $3500/mo. They never blinked an eye. Now they're moving to another bastion of liberal politics...San Fran and just rented a 2 br apt in mountain view for... wait for it.... $5800/mo. And again it's no big deal. Can you imagine paying almost $70 grand a year for something you don't own? Only in LibLand. Please don't dent the planet. Nice change of topic however I will take the trafic here The people (we dont seem to have very many murders or shootings around here. Lake Okoboji is much nice thant he lake you have there (although much smaller there are very few blue water lakes in the world. We just happen to have on here) As for the teams? I hate crowds Anything I want to see I can drive to or watch on TV We got our liberals here too Mostly enviro wackos But, with balance, they do some good here protecting the lake Dont have the finincial problems here but then, we have had a mix of parties running things and the people here tend to have much more respect for other peoples money A concept Michigan and Chicago gov critters do not understand"America will never be destroyed from the outside, if we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
