turtlespeed 226 #1 July 11, 2013 Gotta love these guys . . . QuoteLAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a widespread sex scandal involving nearly a dozen police officers in one Florida city after a civilian crime analyst detailed trysts with the men in police and fire stations, patrol cars, motels and even in a parking lot after a memorial service for a slain officer. I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

If any of the partners had supervisory authority over her, that's not kosher and deserves investigation. If any of the partners were on duty or using city property improperly, that's not ok and deserves administrative investigation. Other than that, if she didn't say no, and no force, threat if force, or coercion was used, then what's the problem? davjohns 1 #12 July 12, 2013 A fairly ambiguous story from a factual perspective. She was screwing everyone. She claims the men took advantage of the fact that she had a history of sexual abuse. (Nothing indicated that they knew about that history or who initiated sexual advances) Her friend said the men took advantage of the fact that she wanted to please, couldn't say no, and had lots of sex. (Could define a victim or a slut) Without more facts than were in that article, it's hard to say if she is a slut who reported this for her own advantage or if she was a victim of a male dominated profession with too much testosterone. Text messages and emails were mentioned, but who initiated them or the content were not. It's possible men were targeting her. It's possible she was targeting them. We just don't know.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

Kennedy 0 #14 July 12, 2013 Very true. I meant ambiguity as to the sex and participation of the reporting party. muff528 3 #15 July 12, 2013 tkhayes Well it is Polk County.....we set our expectations pretty low for them... You Pasco bumpkins are just jealous that your county doesn't make the national news as often as Polk does. (Well, you guys do have the Dougherty Gang. But we have LPD & Sheriff Judd. We also have the guy that was skinny dipping in the motel pool a few years ago when he was "accidentally" uh ...snagged by the filtration system and they had to call the FD to get him free. That one made the Leno show.. Also, the guy stealing the case of beer when his low riders tripped him up during the getaway.)

Other than that, yes it is unclear and sorely lacking in facts. well, it wasn't worth clicking the link. I assumed that the analyst was testifying as to a series of behaviors she observed of a bunch of different people. My joke was the wording implied she was the mass participant. Joke's on me since you guys say my ironic read of the article is actually the truth. ...
