champu 1 #2 July 1, 2013 QuoteThe idea for Jihad-busting bullets was born back in 2010 around an Ohio campfire, where former NRA fundraiser Brendon Hill and chums were "enjoying an adult beverage" while expressing their disgust "that a mosque was being built at ground zero". Hey, if you can get people to pay 77% over the going rate, that's business.

davjohns 1 #4 July 1, 2013 I'm not a fan of bigotry by any means. But, to be fair... Bigotry is pretty much hating a group of people because of their views or how they were born. On SC, lots of hate is expressed for individuals for their views. Bigotry seems a bit more efficient, doesn't it? I don't know. With all of the hate and disrespect thrown around in SC, it just strikes me as odd to decry bigotry. I fully agree with your sentiment. It just kind of struck me.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

winsor 236 #14 July 1, 2013 Quote***We're having some fun with it. Yeah, being a bigot is so fucking hilarious. I agree, it's funnier than hell. The 'bigot' part is where you lose me. If you have any doubts that LDS, Scientology or Islam are FUBAR, you need only read The Book of Mormon, Dianetics or the Koran respectively. The Tanakh is the Bronze to Iron Age history of one very, very dysfunctional family, and is taken with a serious grain of salt by most Rabbis of my acquaintance. Plagiarism from other sources (Sumerian et al.) is largely acknowledged by Torah scholars and put into context. It is the wannabes that use this tradition as their foundation that make every Holy Typo the Misstated Word of God. The Koran uses the Tanakh and the Christian Scriptures as bases, with some redactions and editorial. Isaac is replaced by Ishmael, 3 prayers a day are upped to 5, and so forth. It is easy to respect something if you know nothing about it and to give it the benefit of the doubt. However, going all Godwin here, the Koran is every bit as bad as Mein Kampf in every sense - significantly worse in many. If someone is basing their existence upon either text, it is hardly bigotry to take into account the implications. To look askance at someone wearing head to toe robes with just the eyes showing is viewed as prejudice, though the track record of the people who dress their women as Ninjas is every bit as bad as the guys in white robes with the burning crosses. To say to either group "you suck" is not an accusation but a simple observation. When someone has size 42 shoes, orange hair, a red ball nose and face paint, there is no value judgement involved in referring to them as a clown. Telling these people that ammo has pig fat in it is a wonderful idea if it helps them behave themselves. BSBD, Winsor
jakee 1,594 #15 July 1, 2013 QuoteIt is the wannabes that use this tradition as their foundation that make every Holy Typo the Misstated Word of God. "[They were] Seventh Day Advent Hop-ists. They believed that every Sunday should be spent hopping. They would hop to church, hop through the service, then hop back home again. I tell you, Sunday lunchtimes were a nightmare - we all had to wear sou'westers and asbestos underpants. You see, they took the Bible literally - Adam and Eve, the snake and the apple, took it word for word. Unfortunately, their version had a misprint. It was all based on 1 Corinthians 13: "Faith, Hop and Charity, and the greatest of these is Hop.""Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Yeah, being a bigot is so fucking hilarious. Selling and buying pork bullets at a 100% markup (I've revised my number because I realzed they are selling reloads) is silly. Pouring bacon fat into hollow point bullets "when the time comes" is silly. Going on tilt when you feel you've caught a faint whiff of bigotry is silly. A sense of humor is one of the most important things that separates those of us who are rational and those of us who are religious zealots. Don't throw that away. Here is where I disagree with you its not aimed at the entire Islamic religion only the fundamentalists. I don't think also that its making fun at the religion but rather using fear tactics that there might be a chance that the terrorist might go to hell if the terrorist dies for his religious cause.
