It's refreshing and encouraging when a left winger is able to resolve his hate and outrage to finally see the light. The ability to understand, finally, that the government is not the answer to your problems is quite commendable.

There are some pretty lousy senators out there, but most of them are still capable of writing. Even nazi skinheads are capable of making copies of badly written crib sheets. The best reason to use video is to make it as difficult as possible for anyone to respond with a reasoned argument.

And Rush's words, coupled with his extensive history, makes me feel pretty certain I'm not missing anything here. And I certainly can better spent the X minutes that the video runs for.

I'm not a "Liberal Deocrat" but I watched it and can report to the rest non-right wing cheerleaders that's it's a load of crap. He discusses how the Republican party was founded as a abolitionist movement, how Lincoln was a Republican, and how Eisenhower championed the Civil Rights Act of 1957. He conveniently ignores Republican history after that. He spends the last three minutes regurgitating Republican platitudes that bear no resemblance to how the GOP actually governs.

It's regular Republican speechaking, only unusual because the speaker is black.
