He had a ton of fun with these charities, because at that time they'd always pretend that they were police doing the calling. "so -- what precinct are you in?" "Oh man -- that means you have xxx as the desk sergeant -- have you laid his daughter yet?" he'd go on and on; he liked keeping them on the line awhile, because it meant they weren't bugging anyone else while he was having fun with them.
