QuoteBut what does it say about crime and policing in Boulder if they have time to serve a summons for petty dog stuff?
It tells us that Boulder does not have a huge problem with crime (something I already knew since I lived there for 4+ years), except for the cops who let themselves into other people's homes.

But one would think they may be short on cops, since they have lost 3 already this year:

I'm wondering what the reprocussions would be if the homeowner, exercising their 2nd Amendment rights and/or castle doctrine... were to shoot dead the intruder.
Randomly f'n thingies up since before I was born...

well, are the LEO's shouting out - 'Police! Anyone here?' before entering the open back door? Since they have stated they're concerned about a crime in progress, they may not be so forthcoming, which does give the potential for an unnecessary shooting of either the resident or the officer.
do get that feel. And it looks like she doesn't pick up after her dog, either. (So kill her!)
