Kennedy 0 #3 May 26, 2013 From your own source: QuoteThe French soldier was on a group patrol as part of a national protection program when he was attacked from behind, prosecutor Robert Gelli told Europe 1 radio. The assailant did not say a word, Gelli said. "There are elements — the sudden violence of the attack — that could lead one to believe there might be a comparison with what happened in London," Interior Minister Manuel Valls told France 2 television. "But at this point, honestly, let us be prudent." It's clear the attacker intentionally went after active duty military personnel with a knife. You don't know race, creed, color, sex, national origin, or ideology or the assailant. Kennedy 0 #6 May 26, 2013 If you believe that source, it sounds like they wanted him to be a source inside a radical group, not go to work in Whitehall. So why would you put so much faith in a person who was arrested after the murder? It's funny how jihadwatch seems to hate Muslims right up until they say something jihadwatch wants to hear. THEN it must be the truth. eta: I called him perforated fool because (a) he was shot during arrest, (b) I think he's a fool, and (c) I still like hearing "perforate the fool!" witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
rickjump1 0 #7 May 26, 2013 Not in this case, but Jihad Watch gets a great deal of its sources from newspapers, and lately, UK newspapers. For example, they used Reuters in "Muslim Cleric Who Taught London Jihadist Murderer Praises For Courage".http://news.yahoo.com/exiled-cleric-taught-uk-knifeman-praises-courage-112658347.html Nothing racist here but the cold hard facts. Kennedy 0 #11 May 26, 2013 Well that's a lot more useful. I hope they're using more than skin color for "north African descent". At least there's something to go on. Honestly I expected attacks in France far more than the UK. Are we taking caftan? Dashiki? Djellaba? Galabiyah? Thobe? Dishdasha? Doesn't sound like it was a kikoi. And I doubt it as a tunic, as the general description if a tunic is short sleeves and ending at the knee, rather than te ankle like most African and Middle Eastern "robes". Did anyone see sources that mentioned any sort if headgear? That's usually my best differentiator.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

rickjump1 0 #13 May 26, 2013 My original post with, "Wonder if he went back to London" was more than a little tongue and cheek for the Brits (even Skinnay picked it up). There is no connection; never was, except (unfortunately) the crimes were committed in the name of islam. Kennedy 0 #21 May 30, 2013 NYTimesMan Held in France in Attack on Soldier PARIS — The French police on Wednesday arrested a 21-year-old man described as a convert to Islam who they said had confessed to stabbing a French soldier on Saturday in a Paris suburb. Interior Minister Manuel Valls said in a statement that the man was arrested Wednesday morning in the Yvelines region, just west of Paris. The soldier, Pvt. Cédric Cordiez, 25, was stabbed in the neck with a short-bladed knife in La Défense, a shopping mall and underground transportation hub west of Paris. He was treated at a military hospital and released Monday. Officials initially said that the stabbing seemed to echo an attack last week on a British soldier, who was hacked to death on a London street by two men the British authorities have identified as radicalized British Muslims. On Wednesday, the Paris public prosecutor, François Molins, said investigators believed that the suspect had indeed “acted in the name of his religious ideology,” given the character and timing of the attack, after the London killing, as well as a “prayer” he said shortly before it. snipwitty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
