Two of them could have been former or active duty Navy SEALS. It makes no difference. They were part of the Special Ops community, they had the authority and the ability to request Special Ops assets. They made such a request and were denied. They were killed along with a U.S. Ambassador and a former U.S. Air Force airman. The administration deserves punishment for that denial.Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. It's a lot more complicated than that. There were two separate locations attacked. There were different security forces. Overall there were locals under Libyan control (police et al) there were locals contracted for security, there were DSS officers, and there were US contractors. My understanding is that there were no Marines or other US military forces anywhere in Benghazi, either in the the mission or the CIA annex. The two later fatalities, former USN SEALs Woods and Doherty, were contractors. Woods was in Tripoli when everything started. Doherty had been in Benghazi. Three Americans were injured besides the fatalities. Some Libyans on the US side were injured. Thirty plus Americans in Benghazi were protected and then evacuated thanks to security efforts by the assorted forces, but not Libyan police. The GOP is wasting time and money on this like they did with Whitewater. Turns out that the IRS also gave extra scrutiny to some liberal groups claiming tax exempt status. Didn't hear much whining from the GOP about that. No wonder the GOP loses elections and Congress's approval rating is way below Obama's....
