I don't think anybody is saying it's OK to just do this for no reason. The legislation is proposed for circumstances where the mothers health is in danger or if the fetus is not viable. We can argue until we're blue in the face if that is right or not even under those circumstances, but your OP implied that NY just allows abortions like this for no reason. Furthermore, I don't get the whole hypocrisy thing. Now if you posted a picture of bloomberg walking down the street with a big 7-11 gulp full of soda and said he was a hypocrite for pushing for a soda ban, yet drinking his, then fine, but...... yea, I don't see the connection like that here.

ETA: Is this video indicative of how all clinics are run in NY? Or is this a rogue clinic that is advising crazy shit on a late term abortion? I'm asking because I honestly don't know how things are run there.

It's not legal to abort a six month old baby. Nobody's "9 months old" at the time of birth. Emotional misuse of words is silly when people freak out about someone else having a black rifle and it's silly when people freak out about someone, somewhere having an abortion.

And men talking about how evil abortion is reminds me of people who have no interest in ever owning a rifle saying they can't imagine a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds being used for anything other than mass murder.

I dont want you geting wrapped up in trying to make a connection between big gulps and abortion. Because in that regard there isnt any. However in this video, and apparently from other places like Philly where Kermit Gosnell used to practice late term abortions are carried out on a daily basis. And yet the liberal media wont ever report on cases like that...but the very second someone goes crazy and breaks out an AR? Thats national news and thats why they are a bunch of hypocrites.

Yep. Let's do the math:

There are 2200 stillbirths in NY every year. Let's say 2% of them are identified early as both a stillbirth and as posing a risk to the mother. That's 44 abortions a year to protect the health of the mother - about 4 a month, or one a week. So yes, I'd expect them to be done pretty regularly.

That women who go do abortion clinics do NOT go to hospitals. So how do you quote some statistics that probably relate to people who go to hospitals...not abortion clinics.

And there are 8 million people in new york alone.

2200 seems to be a rather low number for that many people.

I didn't. I used total birthrate in NY (easy to look up) and US average rate of stillbirths (about 1 in 115.) That number comes from all women who deliver, not people who "go to hospitals."

Yep - but they're not giving birth all the time. Heck, half the population can't give birth at all, so you can pretty much exclude them right up front.
