Abstainance is 100% effective at controlling Aids.

In terms of sexual transmission, if you yourself decide to be abstinent and keep to that, then yes, that will work for you. Unless you get raped, in which case it will not.

Teaching abstinence however is an absolutely fucking abysmal way of controlling AIDS and anyone who claims otherwise must be entirely unacquainted with reality.

[Reply]the ongoings of corruption and pedophilia pretty much undo any and all respect I might have ever had for an organization like that.

Do you view teachers the same way? Believe it or not, there is plenty of pedophilia, corruption and scandal in the teaching prosession, as well as such things as unions that operate to protect even those teachers that they try to dismiss.

Do you apply the same reasoning to other things or do you limit it to the Church?

Right, because passing out condoms has worked so well. We should blow up the condom factories, let the fuck monkeys die off, and then start over again.

Let me see, I tell you stories and make up shit, and convince you to give me your money, and that is called fraud.

I tell you stories and make up shit in the name of 'god' and convince you to give me your money, and that is called religion.

Got it.

It pays to be in a union!

Right. Eliminating birth control will cause a group that once used them to "die off." This must be an example of the same logic that brought us "deskewing."

I absolutely provide the same standard. Are you insinuating then that the public school system as a whole, is involved in a massive coverup of such pedophilia?

And to say that it is just as rampant in the school system as in the Catholic Church? I would ask you for the facts to back that up.

The Church operates in secrecy for the most part and we allow them to. The school system does not.

No. Because the public school system is decentralized it can't happen that way. Hence when teachers or administrators cheat to improve test scores, one or the other can report it. Teachers and administrators often balance each other out, actually. Unlike the Church, which suffers from the issues inherent in any single leadership bureaucracy..

But if you think that teaching is free from pedophilia and corruption, think again. Just so happens that education has state, local a federal authorities so massive coverup isn't really possible.

I don't see the Catholic Church making promises to heal the sick but rather to pray. They seem to be to be, in general, good and caring people who are trying to be better people and look to the church. The church passes around the colllection plate and people can pay for receiving the message or not.

.

And their priests maintain strict celibacy (except when they don't). And the hierarchy goes out of its way to cover-up "deal with" the issue.

Incorrect.

Well, not having sex in any form would keep you from getting HIV+ via that method, but you could get it in other ways.

Person with HIV is bleeding and you help that person not knowing that fact and you come in contact with the tainted blood, you have the risk of contracting it. That's just one example.

Tainted/used needles is another way. Find one on the ground somewhere and you pick it up and accidentally jab yourself with it.

There are many other examples.

You're correct, John. Teachers never molest students and it is never covered up.

Much like Catholic priests, we gotta wonder about the ones we DON'T know about. I think it's safe to say that what we know about is the tip of the iceberg.

It works a heck of a lot better.

It'd work better still if the message wasn't continually sabotaged by the repressed, virginal Roman envoys.

As usual, in your world it's always someone else's fault. Perhaps one day you will become wise enough to see thats exactly the problem. In the meantime, I won't hold my breath waiting.

I'll take your standard diversionary PA as an admission of defeat. It usually is.

Kinda funny how you usually claim to hold people responsible for their own actions, then give the Vatican a free pass on theirs, but again, that's just your standard blinkered approach, isn't it?

You claim that, but you don't demonstrate it. Like I said, your standard diversionary PA. Predictable as clockwork.

Lets try it this way Jackie. Why don't you post what I said that in your confused mind, you thought was me giving the Vatican a pass. Maybe we can work from there and demostrate how blind hatred for anything usually results in misinterpretation and seeing positions that simply don't exist. A hallucination of sorts, if you know what I mean.

First you'll have to explain what you meant by "It's always someone else's fault".

Apart from as a misdirection to cover up the abandonment of your ridiculous abstinence argument, of course (a very effective misdirection, I'll give you that).
