BIGUN 1,486 #2 March 10, 2013 Quote This is a list of companies that have taken the step to publicly announce that they will not sell items to states, counties, cities, and municipalities that restrict their citizens rights to own them; therefore closing the "police loophole" themselves. Yeah right... Watch how fast one of them changes their position upon award of a one million dollar County, State or Federal contract. And, "Red Jacket?!?!?!" Gimmie a break. You know how much he does with County & State governments now?Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. promise5 17 #3 March 10, 2013 Thought there was a Township/city that is trying to pass an ordinance about requiring gun ownership??No matter how slowly you say oranges it never sounds like gullible. Believe me I tried.

BIGUN 1,486 #6 March 10, 2013 Let's use something more recent than 13 years old and more relevant to my point. http://ir.smith-wesson.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=90977&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=817997&highlight=Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. Gravitymaster 0 #7 March 10, 2013 With the wars winding down, the lucrative government contracts will diminish leaving a huge gap to be filled by civilian purchasers. The link I provided shows what can happen when a gun manufacturer pisses off those civilians. You are aware the article you posted was written in 2005, don't you? It has no bearing on S&W's gun sales in the future, which very likely will not be lucrative government contracts at the same volume level as the past 10 years. BIGUN 1,486 #8 March 10, 2013 Well, it was actually 2007... but the POINT being is that if you think they won't cave in and drop their "boycott" for more lucrative bulk contracts at the drop of a hat.. It's politics on both sides and with gun dealers case - the person standing in front of them with big money wins.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. The funny thing is, a lot of gun rights activists have spent a lot of time and effort getting "Pre-emption" laws passed so that municipalities cannot pass stricter gun laws that the state has. It looks like that is going to stop this one too. http://www.pressherald.com/news/Maine-town-to-consider-mandatory-gun-ownership.html"There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
