kallend 2,182 #1 March 5, 2013 It seems that Texas Republicans are against family planning on moral grounds, cutting $73Million in state funds just 18 months ago. www.npr.org/2011/09/20/140449957/gov-perry-cut-funds-for-womens-health-in-texas Now they find this will cost the state an additional $173M in other costs, so they're backpedaling like crazy, and weaseling in the process. www.nytimes.com/2013/03/01/us/texas-may-restore-some-family-planning-budget-cuts.html?_r=1& I guess morality only goes so far in Texas when money is involved.... Well, if you don't claim moral motives in the first place, just financial ones, then the potential for hypocrisy is very limited. Chicago, for example, may be crooked, but at least it doesn't claim otherwise.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
