Is societal collapse imminent?

Recommended Posts

Should middle class property owners get pissed off enough due to:

Prices
Cost of college tuitions
Loss of work
taxes
Natural disasters
viruses
Assholes wanting to take away rights of others, rights they don't give a hoot about.

This society could collapse.
The banking society collaped but they just deleted toxic paper with the delete button. And printed more notes and money. (rather typed in money, to their electronic forms)

Can't delete an angry mob so easily as toxic debt.

Disagree: apart from a few malcontents they will just sit on their fat arses and watch reality TV.
...

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

Most of them are their own damn fault. Prices? Rising because they are willing to pay $1.69 for a bottle of water. If they refused to pay that, and (horrors) drank from a water fountain, prices would come down. As with any commodity.

Taxes? Taxes rise because the middle class want wars, and social security, and nice roads.

Loss of work? That's a result of the economy, and our economy is driven by middle class spending.

Well, they can be pissed off about them if they want. Societal collapse will, of course, make the effects of those things a LOT worse.

Yep. When Joe Politician wants to take away people's rights, they are either assholes or heroes to the general public depending on whether the general public cares about those rights.

How many times have you heard "why do you want to give rights to criminals/terrorists/muslims/THOSE people?"

>Can't delete an angry mob so easily as toxic debt.

Correct. Of course, their anger is best directed at themselves, but it takes a certain amount of intelligence to see that - and mobs are not known for their intelligence.

True, people are lazy. And as a result they'll get what is coming to them. Including clogged arteries.
