If we did know, there would be know need for torture, which, ironically, is also why torture is ineffective. Indeed there is. The first can at least arguably be justified under military combat rules of engagement. The second is either a violation of American law and Constitutional principles, or a violation of the Geneva Convention.

And no, no matter how hard the Bush and Obama administrations have argued, there is no legitimate third category that gives Americans a pass to do that, or even to facilitate it being done by proxies.

Look, there are some who complain about the use of "agony therapy" to obtain information, and now they have a problem with drones. Sheesh.

I'll have you know that every Hellfire missile has an Arrest Warrant engraved on its warhead. If criminals choose to resist arrest, they can't complain if things don't go their way, now can they?
