Actually I don't really care. I was an inside linebacker; if they wanna give me an extra handle to grab, that's fine by me.

QuotePlus WTF is a 49er?
QuoteThe name "49ers" comes from the name given to the gold prospectors who arrived in Northern California around 1849 during the California Gold Rush.

A 69er who's lost 20 lbs?
Ok, it's actually the nickname of the time used for participants in the 1849 California Gold Rush.
Eta: ryoder is faster on the draw.

QuoteQuoteSo we are heading to Preditor type of costume on the field? What's next, face guards modeled like mal ocuded teeth hanging out to complete the get-up. If it's legal to pull hair to bring a guy down then I suspect once hair get long enough, and more tackles take advantage, this conversation might become more popular. Personally I think each team should wear costume by how they are named. Bears have bear heads and claws and Raven have feathers, that is if you are into the entertainment type of amusement which these scraggly players now must offer. Coming out in Viking helmet with horns wouild be so awesome. Not sure what you'd do for the Packers.
What about the Browns? Would the Cleveland Browns would continue to use their bland orange helmets? Plus WTF is a 49er?
Redskins would drop their name and take Browns name and Cleveland will take the name Cleveland ROCK AND ROLLERS and continue to grow Hair Band hair, so long as hair is dyed differnet colors so that players can be distinguished. What to do with Browns, OH since the Potomac is filling with snake head fish and since they are brown, Washington can take the SNAKE HEADS. Not sure about their costume though. They do have some ugly teeth...
Guys its commercial break SEA 21 vs. ATL 27 just fun'in a little.

Clay Mathews (Defensive Line F/ Green Bay) don't have Dreds. His haor is so long it covers up his name on his jersey, you O.K. with long hair as long as it's not Dreds? My hair is longer than his!
Edited to add, I voted "NO"

The poll question was neutral. Hair is Hair. My comment outside of the poll question was bias as I forgot there might be a couple of whitle guys playing, who might have long hair that was not styled in any type of dred fashion, getting perms or what have you to have caucasion hair appearing as dred hair. I serious regret this transgression and retract "dreds" and replace that with "hair" in my comment above. In this instance length of hair, not style of hair is the focus. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Just wanted to add that we need to remember that playing football is just "part" of what these guys do. Its their 'job" I sure as stuffings don't want to be told how to wear my hair at work.
Believe me I tried.

But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.

If a ban on all long hair is what it would take to make sure that no-one ever grows a mullet again then I would be ok with that.

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
