I think he approached that particular interview poorly and could have defended his films better, but I also understand a guy losing it during a press junket where he's been asked the same question 62 times in the same day.

I can see both sides of this, because I have numerous times.

I'm told the movie is good and I plan to see it. The interviewer kept pressing him on his views about any link to violence films causing violence. Quenten was in in right to not answer the qustion. The interviewer should have moved on. True, he was probably pretty sick and tired about being asked about violent films in light of recent events. Often, directors and actors are not so good about selling movies but are often tied to contracts where they have to do the roadshows to gain the financing.

I agree, I loved Pulp Fiction, it was brilliant but since then his work has been steadily sliding down the pan.

Usually an interviewer/network will go on and say ''let's have an interview' and we'l talk about your film/foundation/charity only''.

And when they are on the actual interview, they try to deviate from the subject.


See interviews with Clinton and FoxNews; George Bush Sr and Jr; Reagan, Carter, etc...

And continuously avoiding interviews will either lead up to a Romney-like secretive persona or a missed opportunity of advertising your organization/product/whatever.

Lose-lose situation
