Maybe

But the point is the middle class is getting a tax increase despite the lies of the Gov

(notice I said gov and not Obama)

The real money is in the middle class
And in the end it is about money and power for the gov, not who is paying

Who is paying is the distraction used to push the bs

if we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

You might want to double check the title of your thread.

He is just the one publicly pushing it right now

He is not alone in his desire however

Are you griping about the shitty deal that the teascumlicans forced Congress into, or are you gloating about the shitty deal the teascumlicans forced Congress into? I expect that you are gloating, given your posting history.

You are blaming Obama for the shitty deal forced upon the reasonable majority by the psycho teapublican faction of the Rescumlican party. Failure to understand how Congress and the Executive branch interact can cause one to believe things that are patently false.

In case you failed the fact checking part of the matter, the Executive branch wanted the ShrubCo tax cuts to expire for incomes over 250,000. The teascumlicans managed to totally fuck up the whole process by failing to compromise. The other critical part of the fact checking is that the "budget deficit" is of ZERO concern to the GOP when that are in power. Witness the dual wars, hidden off the books, along with HUGE tax cuts at the same time. A better recipe for the events of 2007-2009 could not be written. You can't engage in two wars, hide the costs, and give huge tax cuts all at the same time, without seriously fucking things up. What part of recent history can you not comprehend?

The current GOP is 100% under the control of the extremely wealthy. The Democratic party is in much the same place, in spite of pleasant sounding rhetoric. The Democratic party is, slightly, on the side of the average American, as long as it does not disrupt the flow of money.

The real issue is the fact that each member of congress has to raise about $25,000 PER DAY to have a realistic shot at winning reelection. That kind of money does not come from average citizens. It comes from wealthy special interests that expect performance for the money, and get it.

The system is totally broken. It all comes back to the cancwer of MONEY in politics.

I can understand calling names from time to time to get your point across. But the amount of times you like to rename the tea party and republicans illustrates your true age. I would say around 9 since kids at that age cant express themselves without calling names.

Now go do your homework and STFU.

You want bigger government

I dont

It is that simple

The best times the US has had is when gov spent less than 2% of GDP

4 out of the 5 of these were when Democrates had the White House

This.

We could probably double the or even triple the monthly checks if we let the SS money that comes in fund just SS.

But that is WAY too much logic for the government to use at one time.

Too many lobbyists, congressmen, and senators would be under funded and unable to live on their kickbacks.

Still . . . What ever would happen if, (gasp) instead of spending the money on special interest groups, wouldn't it be better if the money was invested or left in an interest bearing account?

Because it is always better to pay off a loan accruing interest than invest the same money in an interest bearing account. To use consumer terms, it's better to pay off your credit cards than have a big credit card balance but a lot of money in a savings account.

absolutely - So were the Bush Tax Cuts, but look at the brew-ha-ha around that particular topic. Wasn't there something in the news about that lately?

as for the payroll tax holiday itself - still we see the outrage from the working people for both dems and reps and (the third group of people with sense). They kinda snuck that one in there, didn't they? Surprised a lot of partisan wackos all over the country too.

I think it's neat - the government can simultaneously claim they raised and maintained (or lowered under funny gov math rules) taxes on everyone. It's more fun to say they raised and lowered taxes simultaneously.

everyone's a winner!!

I see - so . . . why do we keep electing presidents that strive to raise the debt ceiling?

I see. So then it is actually NOT better to pay off loans, it is better to pretend that money grows on trees and and in fields, while we give the money that is supposed to pay the loans off to people that just think they need it. Got it.

Wow - Maybe it is good to be a liberal.

All the financial entitlement gain and feel good shit, with none of the responsibility and accountability that reality throws in the face of a conservative.

Sweet.
