Kennedy 0 #1 December 14, 2012 Wash Post: Rob Parker on RGIII’s blackness ESPN’s Parker: RGIII A ‘Cornball Brother’ Due To White Fiancee, Possible Republican Leanings Robert Griffin III refuses to be defined by race RGIII really impressed me. I've known he's a heck of an athlete for several years, but know I think he's a heck of a man. These articles also reinforce my disgust with Mr. Parker and why I won't watch any program showing him. Reminds me of a time I heard a guy quote MLK "I have a dream...judged not by their skin but by the content of their character" to an angry thug, and the thug called the guy a racist. Yep, to far too many, seeking true equality in freedom and legal standing for all is to be condemned as racism while providing or withholding benefits based on race is to be considered fair and just.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
AggieDave 6 #2 December 14, 2012 I have a seriously hard time wrapping my head around racism and how people can truly believe that skin color means much of anything. Having dealt with a large number of bad people who were white, black, brown and everything in between, I firmly believe that turds are turds regardless of their race, financial standing or up bringing.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." masterrig 1 #7 December 14, 2012 Same here. I was raised to judge people for what's in their head and heart, not their skin color. I've learned a lot from folks of different races and they influenced me in good ways. I learned in my life that there's a lot of good-good people out there and they're not all 'white'. lawrocket 3 #15 December 14, 2012 RGIII is a helluva good guy. I like him a lot. I'm not sold on his ability as a passer (he throws too often off the back foot when facing pressure). But as a society, we're not past the whole black/white thing. We just aren't. He's being held out there not as a role model but as a black role model, which is a shame. regulator 0 #17 December 14, 2012 I agree with the fact that we arent past the whole black/white thing...Especially if you live in Houston where a guy named Quannell X will come to the defense of any recently incarcerated black guy and blame it on the nearest white person because that fine upstanding citizen that just robbed four girl scouts was held down by the white man and because our forefathers enslaved black folks we are all responsible...not the person that did the robbing. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&tbo=d&biw=1280&bih=619&sclient=psy-ab&q=quannel+x&oq=quannel+x&gs_l=hp.3..0i10l4.56538.58296.0.58791.9.9.0.0.0.0.185.1008.0j7.7.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.ALZP72ZHqWY&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.1355325884,d.b2I&fp=b2f977bb34bcb38b&bpcl=39967673

regulator 0 #21 December 14, 2012 This is a strange story. Not very often do you hear about one black man calling out another black man because he'e not 'black enough'. I'm sure this happens quite often in every day life, but not so much on national TV.

linebckr83 3 #24 December 14, 2012 The truly inspirational black people are the ones who realize they have an unfair advantage, even today, and choose to accept it and overcome it. Like RGIII. Not the ones who use it as an excuse to get what they want. From the interviews I've seen he's an extremely intelligent guy too. Good for him for becoming so successful! Is it just me or does it seem like the people who usually complain about racism are actually keeping it alive. For example Rob Parker. RGIII has made it a point to not bring up his race but he is repetitively asked about it. If you don't want racism, quit acknowledging his race."Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #
