Our Allies Don't Trust Us, Our Enemies Don't Fear Us

Yep.

Our allies don't trust us because we fucked them over in the last 12 years, but make no mistake, there isn't a country on the planet who doesn't fear what the US could potentially do to them. None of them are that stupid. Even the really stupid ones.

The most recent being Israel.

Last time I checked, there was a personal Al Quaeda memo saying: "The drones are terribly more effective than the ground warfare they conducted"

It sure wasn't Bush who helped fund the Iron Dome missile defense, that was just used very successfully in Israel. When Bush said no, Obama said yes.

Regulators created the enviornment the evil bankers were forced to funtion in

(not saying they, the bankers, do not bear any blame)

But, I have been ripped off more by our government than by any business

Indeed, but things have improved a lot since Jan 20, 2009.

We used to argue politics. Now about half the population flat hates the other half. All that has occurred since BHO took office. That is not improvement.

Bin Laden definitely doesn't fear us any more.

He never did. I think BL knew his goose was cooked the day he triggered the twin towers. Although I was not there, I could almost picture Bin Laudins face before he was shot: Oops, got me. Passive and fearless. It's already been reported he didn't put up a fight.

Yeah, there was no acrimony during the Bush years.:S

Acrimony, yes but now there is extreme prejudicial dislike. I have friends who have told me they will no longer associate with anyone who supported BHO. That is on the mild side of expressive displeasure.

And that's Obama's fault? IMO, you're part of this group you speak of. YOU guys are part of the problem.

What's that saying all the youngin's throw around? I think it's, "haters gonna hate." And the group you speak of were staunch haters before they even knew anything about what he ran on or his policies. Some of them are ignorant of it still!

I have a feeling you're blaming the wrong person(s) on this one if that's the direction you're going.
Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)

Given that the majority of voters supported him, that's a lot of people they won't associate with.

Perhaps they could show the courage of their convictions and leave the country; tens of thousands of secessionists wanted to do just that, and we'd be better off as a country if we ditched the people who really don't want to associate with people here. I have a feeling, though, that such people are long on emotion and short on integrity; they'd probably rather just stay and bitch.

hmmm. seems to me you're assuming a much bigger majority than it was.

typical liberal arrogance to suggest they leave the country because you happened to win the election.
If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead.

FIFY. What percentage of eligible voters went to the polls? Even easier, what percentage of registered voters?

We hate socialism. We are mostly veterans. When we joined the military socialism was the enemy.
