First we have Benghazi and the attempt to pass it off as reaction to YouTube. Now Iran fires on an unmanned drone in international airspace November 1st and the administration chooses to keep it quiet until after the election.

I'll make a prediction that some time in the next 4 years BHO will play politics with national security and get burned. Unfortunately others will pay the price.

One thing about national security is that it really can't be all in the open, and hindsight is always better than realtime. That said, yeah, there are things that should be disclosed, and the Obama administration hasn't been a model of openness. But they also haven't been a model of secrecy, either.

That said, I think that G W Bush won the contest on playing fast and loose with national security when he decided to go to Iraq. Not to play the Bush card, just that in looking at the stakes, let's determine what the high end is before we start quibbling about lower ends.
