That's exactly the childish response I was expecting.

Sore loser.

Another childish response. Care to qualify for the nightly Trifecta?

Get over yourself. Your guy lost fair and square, as he should have done.

I Agee, he should have lost.. He had it all wrapped up until he went to the center the last few weeks. That really turned off the conservatives and they stayed home.

Arrant Nonsense. There is no evidence to support that position. Losing has clearly deranged your mental processes.

Why don't you take a lesson from rushmc and come back when you've returned to reality from cloud cuckoo land.

It's so amazing when small minded insignificant people resort to personal attacks because they are just plain ignorant of facts. Not even so much as a warning.

More than 3 million more Republicans voted for McCain than voted for Romney. IMO this is because Romney was viewed as too liberal. The lesson to be learned is the Republicans need to select more conservative candidates and stop trying to push moderates on their constituents.

If you think I am suggesting that the GOP become more progressive, you are sorely mistaken. I don't expect you to know who this man Jason Kenney is, though if you did spend sometime to educate yourself on his accomplishments, he has done a lot of things many can learn from. Mr Kenney didn't go into the ethnic communities and promise them more entitlement spending. No that's what progressives do. Mr Kenney went into these communities and explained to them how his views and their views were not all that dissimilar. So when the election came and the Liberal media ramped up their usual anti-conservative rhetoric, many (not all) of these people ignored the media BS and voted for the conservatives and they won a hard fought majority government. The CPC is not perfect, no government will ever be perfect. But in a troubled and uncertain world, Canada is weathering the storm quite well.

Oh and what is Mr Kenney doing these days? He is off scouring the world looking for highly skilled people who might want to emigrate here. Western Canada needs workers, we need highly skilled workers badly. We have hundreds of thousands of high paying jobs that are unfilled. So remember this is not about becoming more progressive. It is about reaching out to the new demographic in North American society and explaining to them your vision and trying to bridge the gap. There a lot more similarities than differences and many of these ethnic folks are smart and incredibly motivated hard workers.

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

The loser says "you don't deserve it, so give it to me". The losers attitude is one of the many things wrong.

If you're representative of the rest of the losing side that actually sounds about right.
Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Actually your need to twist what people say to satisfy your own ego is about right. I couldn't have a better example. Thanks.

I could remind you that this conversation started with you categorising a person's interest in equal rights as "ME ME ME!" but honestly, what would be the point?

And I could tell you to read the thread again, but what's the point? :S

Your claim is simply not based in reality. You have no evidence whatsoever to back it up. By definition, that is delusional.

Romney got 3 million Republican votes less than McCain. Obama got many fewer votes than in 2008. Tell us oh, great thinker, what do you think happened to those 3 million Republican votes?

Talk about thinking not based in reality....:S

He had it all wrapped up until he went to the center the last few weeks.

Complete nonsense.

Winning an election requires more than just getting Republican votes. The number of registered Republicans is insufficient to win even if they all vote.

Every single poll showed Romney increasing his share after his move way from the extreme position he took for the primaries and moved to the center.

But please continue to push your position, it will guarantee that no Republican gets elected president.

Bullshit. After the first debate, Romney was ahead. As he moved closer to the center by making statements such as wanting to keep parts of Obamacare, his numbers began to drop. 3 million Republicans who voted for McCain DID NOT vote for Romney.

All we have to do at this point is just give Obama enough rope to hang himself. Once people begin to feel the pain of government cuts in their cheese, they will begin to take more responsibility for themselves and vote for the only viable alternative.

They spent money on a cause that the money was given for. I know this is a difficult concept for many.

Taxes are general revenue and to be spent as government sees fit.

Hence electing people, who according to you have spent billions on a race they could not win, would not be overly smart.

No, I haven't. I don't think anybody is saying that Sandy knocked out ten percent of the Democratic vote. 9 or 10 million voters?

Nor am I. However a 15% reduction in voter turnout in the North East is going to effect the Democrats more than the Republicans. Hence, the total counts you are providing are skewed and the real difference likely not as extreme as you are portraying.

Revisionist history. His big move to the center WAS the first debate. The first debate was where he said he'd be keeping parts of Obamacare.

But, as I said, keep pandering to the extreme right wingers, that's fine with me.:)

Oh, you mean like Social Security?

If your lected politicians decide that is aprt of it, then yes.

If you don't like it, try and get a politician elected who will/can change it.

In the mean time we have, according to you a GOP leadership who squandered north of a billion dollars on a campaign they couldn't win. Yet you think they would be the best fiscal choice.

Either your logic is a little off, or you didn't mean something you said. Neither would be a huge surprise.

So you are not capable of seeing the absurdity of your claim? Not really a surprise.

Considering the government's long history of taking money from Social Security when it was in the black - yes.

David Frum, former Bush staffer who has been on the outs with the party ever since he publicly opined that Sara Palin was too stupid to be a VP candidate, wrote this in today's National Post. It does a better job of making similar points to what Canuck and I were making.

I hope Gravitymaster reads that and comprehends it.
