mirage62 0 #1 October 30, 2012 Lot's of comments from team Obama about how the early vote is so strongly going their way. I know that Gallup is out of favor lately but I'd like to see what the talking heads say here. http://www.gallup.com/poll/158420/registered-voters-already-cast-ballots.aspx (sorry don't know how to make a clicky) Quote "Whether the candidates' focus on early voting will ultimately pay off isn't clear. At present, early voting appears to be a convenience that older voters are using disproportionately; they may welcome the opportunity to vote by mail rather than in person on Election Day. It is also relatively common in the West and among postgraduates, groups that may have better access to information about how to navigate the early voting process. Some states not only encourage early voting, but mandate it, thus accounting for regional differences. However, despite the hype, it doesn't appear that early voting will have a major impact on the U.S. popular vote, or be much more prevalent than it was four years ago." Shredex 0 #6 October 31, 2012 I had an Obama supporter come to my door urging me to vote early. I think it's sort of a "Vote early before you change your mind" strategy. lol
mirage62 0 #7 October 31, 2012 Quote Why pose it as a question? Huh? Because it was a question. I don't know that it was a failure, I don't know that it is a success. Hence a question. I referenced the Gallup report to show where my question was coming from.Kevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
