In Mogadishu, the Delta snipers who requested to be put on the ground near the downed helicopter were denied permission. If you listen to Dakota Meyer talk about the incident where his patrol was ambushed, he was denied permission to go down to the scene and requests for air support were denied. It seems to be more of a cultural thing among commanders. This would have been a good time to change that culture.You don't have to outrun the bear.
