A Message for Black Christian Democrats

Recommended Posts

Is this the beginning of an October Surprise?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bfrd8vRBla4&feature=related

I have stated many times before that Democrats portrayal of all Christians as right wingers is very inaccurate. There is a growing discontent within the Black Christian Community that Democrats are overlooking.

If Obama loses even a small percentage of the Black Community, he could lose the election. I wonder if Black Christians are being under sampled in the polls?

This has the potential to split the Democrat Party down the middle.

BAWHAHAHAHAH....

Oh my . . . I think a little poop came out.

IF a person really believes this guy saying that on YouTube actually "has the potential to split the Democrat Party down the middle" then that person is delusional.

Nice PA and from a moderator no less.

He made the second video at the National Press Club. I also understand there is a great deal of discussion in many Black Churches.

I first heard of this from a friend who is a Deacon in a Black Church.

PA's say more about the person making them than they do about the victim.

Yeah, ya really have to wonder about the sanity of some of the folks who go on endless rants about people.

Check out the first post in this thread.

Just in case you think this attitude is confined to a small number of Black Christians on You Tube.

http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/religion/story/2012-05-13/black-churches-gay-marriage-obama/54941862/1

Here's an article from a source more acceptable to you. If you search a little, you will find a great deal of discussion about this issue.

From your link:

In Columbus, Mayor Michael Coleman is confident black churches and voters will stick with the president, even if they disagree over gay marriage

Do you really think they are going to vote for Romney?

And I loved the comments on the YouTube videos. :)

They might just stay home which could be devastating.

I think a lot of people are going to stay home this time. I may well be one of them.

Maybe having a watery tart hurl a sword at someone and having them be the leader would be a better idea (see the "repubs vs royalists" thread that Dreamdancer started to understand)

True. But I think a lot of republican women, hispanics, gays and middle class (especially that 47% he doesn't care about) might be staying home as well. That might be a bit more trouble.

I don't think a mod should get involved in political "discussions".

Why not? They have a right to their opinions, and this is a place to voice them.
The ones in here (SC) tend to be a bit liberal. I understand that they gave the power to a conservative to try to balance it out, but he's not too active of late.

But I haven't seen them use the power to silence those who disagree. And I've seen them let attacks against them slide that would have been sanctioned if it was against a "normal" poster.

A few of the more hardcore right-wingers occasionally accuse them of bias and abusing their authority, but those are often the more "trollish" ones. The ones who launch into borderline PAs (or batant ones) against those who have cogent arguments against their point of view.

That would be good for Romney. As he said, they aren't going to vote for him anyway so if they stay home, it would hurt Obama.

Wow. His own father wouldn't vote for him? (he's part of that 47%) That's just cold.

Well, that's true considering his father is dead. Doesn't get much colder than that.

That and his father claimed to have been born in Kenya (I think he just said that to get preferred admission to Harvard).
