Though President Obama is a Democrat, and thus more likely to embrace left-leaning political positions than the American Right, he's drawn repeated comparisons to members of England's Conservative party. For some expatriates, the president's centrist response to an increasingly activist Republican opposition makes him a conservative in the mould of the Tory party." Cheers! While I don't disagree with your statement, the point is rendered moot simply because after all, it is America (f#ck, yeah*), and therefore it matters not to the average US citizen what the rest of the western/democratic world do or think outside their borders. With the overwhelming volume of US media beaming into my own country, I very much look forward to life after the election... *all deference to Trey Parker, et al. skypuppy 1 #8 September 24, 2012 I actually believe that obama is so confused even he doesn't know where he stands....If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead. Bruce McConkey 'I thought we were gonna die, and I couldn't think of anyone

lawrocket 3 #10 September 24, 2012 Of course. When viewed from the political spectrum of many places in the world he certainly is. I'm sure that Il Duce would consider him a Lefty and Stalin would have had him killed. On the other hand, take a look at the "religious right" here and compare them with other countries. Romney would be a secular socialist. Compare Romney with the Marine Le Pen of Front Nationale in France. Or check out the Schweizerische Volkspartei in Switzerland, which actually has a lot of power. The interesting thing is that in the European systems these parties have sitting representatives in their parliaments. My wife is hotter than your wife.
