"My objection is they should ensure whatever scientific material is being put forth as a standard should at least stand up to scientific method. Under the most rudimentary, basic scientific examination, the theory of evolution has never stood up to scientific scrutiny." billvon 3,111 #2 August 15, 2012 >Are these guys really this wilfully ignorant? Just plain ignorant, I think. Most creationists do not reject science, they simply don't understand it (or don't see how it applies.) It's only the creationists who take on that moniker to gather votes or support for their cause who are really willful about it, because they have to be. Niki1 2 #4 August 16, 2012 It's not a sin to be ignorant. That just means you haven't been exposed to some type of information. Andy9o8 2 #10 August 16, 2012 Almost weekly I read some story in the news that reminds me how Lincoln might very well not have done the United States a favor by preserving the Union. This story is just this week's poster child.
Bertt 0 #11 August 16, 2012 The difference between the theory of evolution and the theory of gravity is that you can see gravity work right before your eyes. It takes longer for evolution to work, so it's easier not to see it. Just a thought. Ya'll have fun. I'm going to go eat some hybrid corn. You don't have to outrun the bear. When YOUR stupidity starts to affect the way MY LIFE is run (i.e. creationism being injected into education and government, then I have a problem with that. No I do not have a solution (to your stupidity) but it is still a problem. These are the same people that used to burn witches.....

Yeah, you only really need to survive into your teens to stand a good chance of getting (or getting someone) pregnant - and at that age someone else is still making most of the big survival decisions for you.
