Banksy or vandalism?

So many interesting assumptions you've made.

Cheap trick. Your words couldn't be clearer.

Well, you're correct about that, but yet you seem to have completely misinterpreted them none the less.

Dude, you're just looking for something to bitch about today; aren't you?

I have learned all I need to know about you.

Awesome! In that case you can safely ignore every post made by me from this point forward (with the exception of official dz.com business) and I expect to never see another response from you about one of my postings again...

Unless of course, you just lied and can't help yourself from bitching about stuff for no reason.

Done.

Likewise to you.

Yeah, I think it's an interesting question about where the line is.

I specifically used the word wall rather than building because I'm fairly certain you'd get dinged for any mark you make on some government buildings, but I think there's a big grey area when it comes to others, IF the person is making a political statement as opposed to simply marking it.

So let's say across the street from this restaurant was a public wall separating the neighborhood from a freeway...

I dunno.

If it is a Banksy, i will gladly go over and take it down at no charge and rebuild that wall for them! NO COST TO THEM AT ALL!
As long as i can sell it?

Chick-Fil-A had a crew repainting it this morning before noon.

I don't think it was Banksy himself, but it also wasn't just the average tagger either. If you look at the cow part of it, you can see they made use of stenciling in a manner that's sort of Banksy-ish...

Huffington Post (I think) has an interview with the tagger.

Interesting, I'll have to go see if I can find that.

Ah, found it.

Hmmm, I'm not convinced this is the actual guy. He may just be a guy willing to take the fall in trade for publicity, but in either case, his last line is correct.

True, but even he still admits it is a crime, not much of one, but one none the less.

Was that event the point of this thread? We wander from the topics so much, I may have gotten lost.

Yes, that was, in fact, the entire point. Some folks got confused it had something to do with my finances or some such nonsense.

I can't really explain crazy.

Are you talking about this last line?

At the end of the day, said Castro, "It's paint on a wall. It got removed in less than an hour. It's not that much of a crime -- it's a protest."

In case you missed it, this was Streetscooby's problem earlier. The liberal tolerance to damaging property. It's not OK, no matter how you spin it.

Keying your car can be easily fixed in a day, I guess it's not much of a crime-- it's a protest.

Have fun with the rest of the OWS protesters smashing in Obama's campaign office in Oakland. Windows can be replaced in a day also. it's not much of a crime -- It's a protest.

And the list of "Protests" go on and on and on......[:/]

On the grand scale of things, I'll take a little damage you can literally white-wash over to denying people's rights any day.

Ends justify the means.... Got it.

So who draws the line at how much damage is acceptable? Do the liberals get to inflict more damage than the conservatives? Are you going to come up with a formula that says "so much injustice allows for so much damage to a persons property?"

How far down this road to you want to go?

Is it OK to blow up a building as long as no one is in it Bill Ayres?

It's called a slippery slope. When you start walking down that path, where do you draw the line?

Some on the path (cough, OWS, cough, hack...) are content to walk all the way down it.....
