Zep 0 #1 July 27, 2012 I know that the world these days is full of PC IDIOTS. and for those of us who have who at least still have a sense of humour the world can be a dangerous place, it's nice to see that at least some of our peers are still in contact with reality. reality check As I've thought all along Magistrates live in their little world of suburbia. Andy9o8 3 #2 July 27, 2012 We keep telling the teens & young adults in our own & extended family the risks of unintended bad consequences from stuff that gets posted in Twitter & Facebook. Hardly a day goes by that I don't read a news story about someone who gets himself in hot water via Twitter. I'll bet that Greek Olympian athlete would be a happier woman today if she'd never discovered Twitter. If I'm going to scratch my balls, I'll just scratch my balls; I don't have to tweet about it to half the world, so that by the time it gets re-re-re-tweeted I wind up on some Meghan's Law list. davjohns 1 #3 July 27, 2012 His tweet to a finite audience "..had the potential to cause real concern..." And this was worth prosecuting? Tax money hard at work.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.
SkyDekker 1,465 #4 July 27, 2012 Reminds me of the guy who got denied entry into the US because he tweeted: "Free this week, for quick gossip/prep before I go and destroy America." http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16810312
Andy9o8 3 #5 July 28, 2012 So what's the real moral of the story- overreaction to tweets, or be careful what you tweet?
Zep 0 #6 July 28, 2012 Agreed apart from the whole episode being a total waste of tax payers money a faint glimmer of justice for all can now be seen on the horizon. A precedent has been set. Gone fishing
