House passes Ron Paul’s ‘audit the Fed’ bill

Recommended Posts

Added:

The Fed Reserve has no oversight at all

And while I am not one to say go get'em tiger when it comes to gov looking over the shoulder, some level is acceptable as I have said before

So the debate becomes how much is enough and how much is too much

But, the power and secrecy of the Fed needs a good looking at IMO

They actually listened to Paul for once???:o
They should do that a hell of a lot more often.

We agree on something!

Unfortunately it's not expected to pass the Senate.

The Fed is no longer independent. Lots of readily available data shows this. They are printing money like there is no tomorrow. Bad stuff is in the pipeline, and it's going to be nasty when it finally comes out.

I think it's going to get worse. It makes you wonder what they are hiding.

Remeber how hard they faught against the FOIA request to find out where the FED sent bail out money? That is when we found out how much went out of the country?

To your point, do we even know what info to ask for?

Scary as hell

I don't think they were ever politically independent. One of the books that I am currently reading is "A History of the Federal Reserve vol 1" by Allan Meltzer

The Federal Reserve was created by the big bankers and their politicians to serve the interest of the big bankers.

I think the full consequences of the Fed's QE's and Operation Twist along with the near zero interest rate policy have yet to be fully felt and hold really bad results in the future.
