When a small S-corp makes a profit it does flow through to the shareholders - normal the owner of the company. When he or she wants to expand his company he'll want to use some of these profits to do so.

If Buffet and Gates are so keen on raising taxes, raise them on people who make $5,000,000 a year. RAISE THE HELL OUT OF THEM.

There class warefare at it's best. Raise the taxes just not on whatever I make.

That's our leaders answer......guess I'll support him as long as it isn't on me.

Then the people who make $5m will contend they're not the ULTRA RICH, like Fortune 500 CEO's (average about $15 million a year.) In general, "ultra rich" to your average person means "people who make significantly more than you do."

If the marginal tax rate (which I think is the tax rate we're talking about) goes up for those making more than $250K/year then those making $250K per year will not see an increase. The increase is only for the portion of income exceeding $250K.

Correct Bill. My point is that THIS is presented -sold to the public as the ULTRA RICH. Warren Buffet rich. I don't think Warren Buffet will be effected because of the way he recieves his income (capital gains) "Pay your fair share" isn't going to be paid by the ultra rich.

Obama is fond of saying "maybe well off people agree with me that they should pay more" (word to that effect) Sure Warren Buffet, hollywood folks. I haven't meet many people making say $450K saying it - have the posters here?

I understand the % that people who make $250K are "rich" by that way of looking at it.

I would make the argument that most small business have at RISK a lot more, that they already pay there fair share. That once you reach the point that you have grown your small business to the level of making +250K you are older and don't want to borrow money at the bank to expand.
