DaVinci 0 #26 July 16, 2012 QuoteAny ID requirement for voting that doesn't provide free ID's amounts to a poll tax, forbidden by the 24th Amendment of the Constitution Then requiring an ID to buy a gun when the Id is not free is a violation of the 2nd. DaVinci 0 #28 July 16, 2012 QuoteThe voter purge laws/regulations smack of poll taxes, literacy tests and other requirements to keep minoriteis from voting No, it smacks of wanting each legal vote to be cast but only legal votes to be cast. The opposite of your comment would be, "Not wanting voter relations smacks of wanting to allow illegals to vote". While there might be some on both sides of the debate that think those ways.... You are trying to claim that it is the reason. QuoteIs this a ploy to get the "camals noes in the tent" toward a National ID card? Conservatives that want voter ID do not back a National ID. rehmwa 2 #30 July 16, 2012 Silly - 1 - Everyone, NO exceptions that wants Voter ID absolutely wants to disenfranchise every single person that's over 50 or makes less than $250K/year. It's a solid step towards towards corporate ownership of the country. the final goal is for only CEO's to have block vote rights for citizens that live near them (based upon Walmart territorial boundaries). 2 - Everyone, ABSOLUTELY NO exceptions, that is opposed to Voter ID absolutely wants the voting process to be overrun by illegals and foreign interests intent upon bankrupting the country and creating a socialist hell on earth. The end game is as follows: every non-citizen gets two votes. One to cancel a specific citizen's vote - the other to vote just for pain and misery. Final results would be two elections - one for citizens that is ignored, then the real one for non-citizens that decide the results. There is not a single person in the WORLD that just wants to ensure only legal US citizens vote and no one else. That's just silly. ... rehmwa 2 #31 July 16, 2012 Best way for citizens to avoid the pain is to simply vote early and as often as possible. Just like everyone else. ... DaVinci 0 #33 July 23, 2012 QuoteI support ID being free and easy to obtain if it is required for either. How about you? There is no reason why a free ID should not be provided to people. Now, the question I asked was not answered by you. Do you support an ID being required to buy a gun? Do you support an ID being needed to vote?
