normiss 897 #5 June 25, 2012 Oh our lovely criminal justice system. Emphasis on criminal. Appeal! this just feels dirty - much like the entire case.
Gravitymaster 0 #6 June 25, 2012 Sucks doesn't it? At least he will remain in jail where he doesn't have access to children.
funjumper101 15 #7 June 25, 2012 Quote Oh our lovely criminal justice system. Emphasis on criminal. Appeal! this just feels dirty - much like the entire case. Would that be the same criminal justice system that has the power, in some states, to sentence people to death? We all know how the government never makes mistakes and that the prosecutors and judges are infallible... Ties right in with the Right Wing Conservative nutter philosophy about the evil of government, if your world view is hypocritical to the point where you can't see the stupidity of your philosophy. With regard to the Sandusky matter, the prosecution has a bunch more victims waiting to make the next case, should this one fall apart somehow.
normiss 897 #8 June 25, 2012 I'm always amazed at how some people can tie political mindsets directly into any conversation. "Ties right in with the Right Wing Conservative nutter philosophy about the evil of government, if your world view is hypocritical to the point where you can't see the stupidity of your philosophy. " Yea, the appeals process of the justice system is clearly a RWC philosophy issue. I just think a lot of criminal defense attorneys play dirty. Maybe they have to at times given the system's bottomless resources.
