Other than that: at least we've some states in "our union" that understand that you can't spent more than you receive. http://www.usdebtclock.org/ Good luck with that in the coming years! I think we're way past the point where "good luck" is going to help us. Every generation thinks things like that. In the 1920's it was the loose morals of women. In the 1940's it was fascism that was going to destroy the world. In the 1950's it was communism, the USSR and rock and roll. In 1960's it was loose morals again. We seem to survive these calamities though - although society often changes as a result. Marinus 0 #13 June 11, 2012 Of all the beers and pilseners our combined countries have to offer you choose Heineken? But if it all goes down, at least it'll make the news very interesting. Actually I like the idea of a truly united Europe including my hypothetical grand-kids waving the European star spangled banner and stuff, but I just don't see it happen. At least not any-time soon. Marinus 0 #14 June 11, 2012 Decline would be the better word, down-fall is a bit too extreme indeed. I'm aware of the fact that it's normal for people to think they live in the end-time, but I think the things I fear are more realistic threats than loose morals and rock and roll. There's a God chance that the USA and Europe will experience an economic collapse in the near future, and this could lead to all kinds of misery. Marinus 0 #18 June 12, 2012 QuoteI have no ideas about beer, only know that Heineken is a Dutch one. And I for one offer my apologies to the world on behalf of my peopl for the abomination that's commonly referred to as Heineken. If it weren't for the fact that we redeemed ourselves with offering the world the wonder of Grolsch we should be nuked into oblivion for it. Just one look at the bottle tells us that Grolsch is bloody brilliant: http://www.grotescheur.nl/wp6/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Nederland-034-Grolsch.jpg

Marinus 0 #20 June 12, 2012 Nah, it's more or less a joke. Heineken is biggest flaw is that it's utterly unremarkable, and it's a shame that out of our not insignificant beer culture that's the one that's exported all over the world. It's our Big Mac: an overpriced mass-product that lacks any quality or originality but that happens to be popular all over the globe.
